sadness

Masterpiece

Masterpiece

I wanted to write a poem for you

But every time I tried, I failed

The words came charging in

Battering the walls of my heart

I waited, like a stone

Until one day they broke free

And I crafted a masterpiece

With a broken heart

Poetic Truths (Repost)

poetic truths

For it’s a strange thing that
we are able to weave the web of true poetry
only when sadness reigns the heart

Like that mystery ingredient
which adds flavor and finesse
to the gourmet of feelings expressed in words

Why happiness is seldom the reason to
elevate our words, lifting them at heights
unprecedented

Majority of poets are born
not out of curiosity, ambition or fascination
but out of necessity

Needs to fill up empty voids with words
voids acting up like black holes
in the cosmos of one’s emotions

It’s a reassurance to one’s self
almost a last resort against
blitzkrieg of the senses

A major part of life is spent in searching the
joys of heart so when at hand
we try our best living those moments

Songs are often born by the mating of
euphoria and glee as the words
get the baptism of contentedness

People relate more to sadness
so tragic poetry seems like a soothing light
at the end of the tunnel

Its just a feeling of mine that words come out more strongly when your heart is sad.

Blitzkrieg = An intense military campaign intended to bring about a swift victory.

Prisoners

PrisonersAll our lives we are in pursuit of something, as we grow older, and our feelings mature we see it all around us, depicted in movies, books, gossips. We observe real life examples and marvel at them. We promise ourselves that when we will grow older we will also have it and will bask blissfully in its soothing warmth. We draw sketches in our thoughts of how we will live with it and in our minds create a framework of how we will spend our life in it.

As we grow older we watch others having the time of their lives in it and we try to get it for ourselves, but soon we realize that it’s not an easy thing to get hold of, we hold back due to our fears but finally we muster up courage and in haste we misinterpret other things for it and then realize when the reality is handed to us that we were wrong, we begin saying that we are better off without it. Love

love

I wondered how beautiful the sunset would look like on the other side
The valley where all human beings are so intrigued to go called love
But someone told me that you don’t need to wonder
Sun never sets where you want to go as it never rises there
There the sun always stays on top glowing and gleaming
Radiating its rays on those who choose to stand under it
But that person also advised me to be ready for all the seasons
To be aware of the spring when all the colors seem so bright
The heart is filled with the highest degrees of contentment
And then there is the summer when the heat mounts up
Times stops and the whole world revolves around those moments of ecstasy
But also beware of the autumn of heart
When the insides feel so hollow that you seem to suffocate
Be extra careful of the winters as they come like an un-invited guest
The soul craves for a little warmth the heart seeks the sun
So before you decide to jump over the other side consider all of this
Or just forget all this and wait for the most beautiful surprises you will ever get
Trust me you’ll have the ride of your life

Little did he know

little did he knew

I asked the boy inside me where have you gone lately
For sorting out the things in life I have missed you greatly

My conscious and my dreams are not the same anymore
The changes are so subtle they are just hard to ignore

To move forward in life you made the choice seemed right
You wanted to be a free soul I was hampering you flight

I smiled the smile I never smiled in my life on his reply
It’s a two headed sword this world so I had to try

Circumstances situations that hustle we do to stay alive
Demands a sacrifice and it’s your own hand with the knife

So I had to let you go believe me this was not my desire
Sometimes you burn your own hands to escape the fire

I have missed you leaving you was never part of the plan
But there are pains I have to endure like a grown up a man

I was the one thing that connected you with you he said
All gone its over between us this relationship is dead

He didn’t replied foolishly thinks I never wanted him to stay
Little did he know that it was bound to happen this way
