Crisis of Conformity

Crisis of Conformity

The phrase might go like this
Between those flashes of lightning and rolls of thunder
It all became evident
So, he showed an axe to his hair and tossed them in flames
Flames of every bridge he just burned
Thus, allowing rationality to rendezvous with his mind and soul
It’s a reciprocal arrangement nurturing a moral endeavor
One that nullifies willful blindness with concrete truth
Restraining all those peculiar idiosyncrasies of the heart
Flatlining prospects of getting lost in the familiar
A newfound resolve to honor the obvious
No more niceties of showing a candle to the sun

Hope

Hope

What is Hope?
is it the absence of dark from our nights
or the reality of shade in our days

The stimulus that makes us let go
granting access to unwavering joy
truth setting you free

Grief can alter soul’s equilibrium
yet we don’t die when loved ones depart
as hope assures a reunion in heaven

Dreams embrace an early death
if not sprinkled with a dash of hope
confronting them head on

When doubt resonates its tune
lurking in that corridor of uncertainty
a grain of faith can move mountains

Life is suffering, it’s also beautiful
So key to happiness lies in something to do,
someone to love, something to hope for

A Negotiation

a negotiation

It has come to pass as a result of this predicament
I speak, as my lips are rebels
Listen…
Those fears, goals, concerns and dreams
Their presence you demand with no sign of empathy
They are off the table
So go on, make yourself elusive
That upgrade you always wanted to have
Whether its a king, queen, bishop or a pawn
No one ever escaped the tyranny you draw
So sleep what will it be?
A Truce! it’s just you and me.
Surely you will have something to say
You know I can just counter this and…
Pray.

You are not Alone

you are not alone

If I may
Open up my heart to you
Send you a blessing
A silent prayer
Aiming straight towards you
Wishing that it gives you peace
A little hope
So that it reaches you till the ends of the earth
Engulfs you like sunlight on a rainy day
To you
staring the window of that old age home
staring the road on the way to work
staring the ceiling in that hospital bed
staring the grass beside that coffin
staring the door of that operation theater
staring those hands which just held a dying friend in war
staring that defibrillator as the nurse shouts
staring that report which came positive
staring those shoes as parents explain the divorce
staring the sky lying on the footpath trying to sleep
staring that ventilator behind that mirror
staring the ground as a knee presses down on your neck
You are not alone
Not all is lost
The darkness will pass
You are not alone

Let’s Pretend

lets's pretend

Let’s pretend
Let’s pretend to be alive
Hearts blooming with the sounds of spring
Let’s pretend to see the stars
Holding hands
Staring up, making shapes, counting
Let’s pretend to fill it all in
That moment
When planets align
Mine
Your’s
Questioning its very own existence
Time executes a treachery on itself
And stops
Let’s pretend
So … in a universe parallel to our’s
You and me
Don’t .

* In Quantum Physics there is a theory of Parallel Universes which states that there exist multiple universes which are exact copies of our own and there are multiple versions of us doing the exact opposite of what we do on ours.

Strength

StrengthIf you Google the word courage it says …

The ability to do something that frightens one; bravery.

Strength in the face of pain or grief.

What is adversity? one can describe it as the time when you feel totally incapable to control the situation or when you are in a scenario where you are just a mere spectator and the odds are going against you, what do you do when you find yourself in such situations? Some people panic and give up as they claim to see the writing on the wall, some refuse to give up and don’t stop trying until the end, and now the question arises, what is the end? Sometimes you get what you want and sometimes you don’t get what you want, you accept the realities, start over and move on. But then again there is a saying that if it’s not good, it’s not the end. Prisoners

PrisonersAll our lives we are in pursuit of something, as we grow older, and our feelings mature we see it all around us, depicted in movies, books, gossips. We observe real life examples and marvel at them. We promise ourselves that when we will grow older we will also have it and will bask blissfully in its soothing warmth. We draw sketches in our thoughts of how we will live with it and in our minds create a framework of how we will spend our life in it.

As we grow older we watch others having the time of their lives in it and we try to get it for ourselves, but soon we realize that it’s not an easy thing to get hold of, we hold back due to our fears but finally we muster up courage and in haste we misinterpret other things for it and then realize when the reality is handed to us that we were wrong, we begin saying that we are better off without it. Now

Now

Sometimes yes it’s hard to carry hope
For it’s not easy to steady the ship
The waves of life are a F5 storm
And the anchor of faith is lost somewhere
So I try to set the course in line
Manipulating
Twisting
Turning the truth
Feeding it all day so it sets the sails straight
And the course of life is back to normal
But then one day someone asked me
Tell me what to do as I am in great winds
The waters are getting deep and fear is creeping in
And I so wanted to help
But I ran
I ran as far as my legs could carry me
For my own anchors were no more than a lie
And then I remembered that
I wish often to change the world
But how can I be of any help
If I am not even true to myself
.

.
So I closed my eyes and told my heart
No more illusions no more lies
I will keep my ship away from the rocks
Because from now on
I am the one who knocks

Faith, Hope and Love ایمان، اُمید اور محبت

Faith Hope and Love

If I speak in the tongues of men or of angels, but do not have Love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a Faith that can move mountains, but do not have Love, I am nothing. If I give all I possess to the poor and give over my body to hardship that I may boast, but do not have Love, I gain nothing.

Love is patient, Love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.

Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away. For we know in part and we prophesy in part, but when completeness comes, what is in part disappears. When I was a child, I talked like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I put the ways of childhood behind me. For now we see only a reflection as in a mirror; then we shall see face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I am fully known.

And now these three remain: Faith, Hope and Love. But the greatest of these is Love.
