Strength

StrengthIf you Google the word courage it says …

The ability to do something that frightens one; bravery.

Strength in the face of pain or grief.

What is adversity? one can describe it as the time when you feel totally incapable to control the situation or when you are in a scenario where you are just a mere spectator and the odds are going against you, what do you do when you find yourself in such situations? Some people panic and give up as they claim to see the writing on the wall, some refuse to give up and don’t stop trying until the end, and now the question arises, what is the end? Sometimes you get what you want and sometimes you don’t get what you want, you accept the realities, start over and move on. But then again there is a saying that if it’s not good, it’s not the end. Prisoners

PrisonersAll our lives we are in pursuit of something, as we grow older, and our feelings mature we see it all around us, depicted in movies, books, gossips. We observe real life examples and marvel at them. We promise ourselves that when we will grow older we will also have it and will bask blissfully in its soothing warmth. We draw sketches in our thoughts of how we will live with it and in our minds create a framework of how we will spend our life in it.

As we grow older we watch others having the time of their lives in it and we try to get it for ourselves, but soon we realize that it’s not an easy thing to get hold of, we hold back due to our fears but finally we muster up courage and in haste we misinterpret other things for it and then realize when the reality is handed to us that we were wrong, we begin saying that we are better off without it. Now

Now

Sometimes yes it’s hard to carry hope
For it’s not easy to steady the ship
The waves of life are a F5 storm
And the anchor of faith is lost somewhere
So I try to set the course in line
Manipulating
Twisting
Turning the truth
Feeding it all day so it sets the sails straight
And the course of life is back to normal
But then one day someone asked me
Tell me what to do as I am in great winds
The waters are getting deep and fear is creeping in
And I so wanted to help
But I ran
I ran as far as my legs could carry me
For my own anchors were no more than a lie
And then I remembered that
I wish often to change the world
But how can I be of any help
If I am not even true to myself
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
So I closed my eyes and told my heart
No more illusions no more lies
I will keep my ship away from the rocks
Because from now on
I am the one who knocks

Bob Marley on Love

Bob MarleyThis time instead of sharing something that I wrote I would like to share a piece on Love from the great Bob Marley, it’s a pity that our generation remembers Bob just as a famous weed smoker what they don’t know is that he wrote so many songs on love and peace and said such good things about love and being human, So here is something that I would like to share with you all..

“Only once in your life, I truly believe, you find someone who can completely turn your world around. You tell them things that you’ve never shared with another soul and they absorb everything you say and actually want to hear more. You share hopes for the future, dreams that will never come true, goals that were never achieved and the many disappointments life has thrown at you. When something wonderful happens, you can’t wait to tell them about it, knowing they will share in your excitement. They are not embarrassed to cry with you when you are hurting or laugh with you when you make a fool of yourself. (more…)

The King

The King

In a golden wheat field he worked all day long
The boy who smiled no matter summer or fall
Content with whatever life brought on the way
His world was euphoric until he heard the call

On horseback flocking from all over the town
Seeking the true holder of that majestic ring
The Men roared and grabbed hold of the boy
Bowed down and screamed you are our King

Astonished, shocked and slightly bewildered
He screamed aloud I am not the one you seek
I am just an ordinary boy who toils in the field
For this grandeur and chair I am just too weak

But he was taken against his pleading and cries
Like as if his anointment was written in stone
Wrapped in a Silver robe, the ring in his hand
The boy, the King, mighty owner of the throne

So with the days of past engraved in his mind
Moments when he so wanted his heart to sing
My kingdom will be just the best in the world
And the whole country cried long live the king

And then his reign started with valor and zest
For he had to establish his hold on the crown
Imposed taxes, waged wars, held an iron fist
Spared none conquered each city every town

Now no man was allowed to do as he pleased
And soon all realized what deed they had done
Lamented on the fact they had to follow rules
They wished a king their choice the chosen one

So now they decided that the moment is here
What seemed whispers soon became the shout
We don’t want the king down with the throne
The royal palace was invaded the king was out

Standing in wilderness the king saw the moon
The boy the loner who was made an utter fool
Vowed in his heart that one day he will return
For what else is there for a king to do but rule

I leave it to my readers how they perceive this story of the boy…… whats your take on it ?

Seed

seed

Once upon a time
There was a man
He found that his heart’s land was barren
Cold winds blew over it in winter
Autumn never seemed to let go
So one day he got a single seed called Hope
And planted it in that land
Heavy rains of Doubt poured down
He was afraid that the ground will move
And he will lose the seed
So he built a boundary of Conviction around it
When strong winds of Worries blew
He sheltered it with the shade of Determination
If Hale of Confusion fell in
He guarded it with the roof of Discipline
The seed began to grow in to a little plant
Then swarms of Fear came
So he sprayed it with the spray of Faith
And then one day the plant finally became a tree
And it gave the fruit called Happiness
And in that fruit there were those same seeds of Hope
Now the man had so many seeds
More than he needed
So he decided to give them to other people
The End

Act

Act

That determination that intricate will
arising inside when confronted by the truth
then fading away like stars at dawn

Prisoners of this vicious predicament
we try to stray away from it as far as we can
so it doesn’t disrupts what we mask

If only like that sparrow flying in eagle’s lair
that Determination gets the lift a final nudge
making its journey to do what should be done

Hearts infested with doubt and fear always
fail to bring the change within oneself
and rectify wrongs of the land they live in

Those who opt for change always say no to
commandments of manipulation never giving
their nod to those who cheat

Deep in trenches of the heart that will to act
right lurks but is often killed down instantly
by the sniper of our doubtful concerns

Those gallant enough to slay the dragon of
inner fears march triumphantly in front of
all the king’s horses and all the kings’ men

Gradual transformation of a caterpillar to a
butterfly starts within inside so only those
who are sincere with themselves succeed

The bridges of hope between hearts are built
from breaking the bones of skeletons rattling
inside our closets of fear and self-doubt
