Prisoners

PrisonersAll our lives we are in pursuit of something, as we grow older, and our feelings mature we see it all around us, depicted in movies, books, gossips. We observe real life examples and marvel at them. We promise ourselves that when we will grow older we will also have it and will bask blissfully in its soothing warmth. We draw sketches in our thoughts of how we will live with it and in our minds create a framework of how we will spend our life in it.

As we grow older we watch others having the time of their lives in it and we try to get it for ourselves, but soon we realize that it’s not an easy thing to get hold of, we hold back due to our fears but finally we muster up courage and in haste we misinterpret other things for it and then realize when the reality is handed to us that we were wrong, we begin saying that we are better off without it. Rest In Peace

Rest In Peace

“People do not die for us immediately, but remain bathed in a sort of aura of life which bears no relation to true immortality but through which they continue to occupy our thoughts in the same way as when they were alive. It is as though they were traveling abroad.”

― Marcel Proust

Pain

Pain

“People are afraid of themselves, of their own reality; their feelings most of all. People talk about how great love is, but that’s bullshit. Love hurts. Feelings are disturbing. People are taught that pain is evil and dangerous. How can they deal with love if they’re afraid to feel? Pain is meant to wake us up. People try to hide their pain. But they’re wrong. Pain is something to carry, like a radio. You feel your strength in the experience of pain. It’s all in how you carry it. That’s what matters. Pain is a feeling. Your feelings are a part of you. Your own reality. If you feel ashamed of them, and hide them, you’re letting society destroy your reality. You should stand up for your right to feel your pain.”

― Jim Morrison

Never Again

Never Again

When it begins to seem that all days are the same
And all the moments just carry one emotion and feel
When you don’t feel anything or know that you are happy or sad
Even anger or astonishment never passes through you
And you feel that you are waiting for something you don’t even know what it is
But in the quite of the day and sometimes at night
You open your box of memories and stare
Because you forget to forget what you promise yourself to forget
To be afraid of that box and never to open it again
But you still take a glance and take a deep breath
Take a look at the moments now buried in sands of time
Smiles that conquered the day for you
Echoes of laughter that filled your heart
Memories of times that enriched your soul
Forgiveness you don’t know you seek or you want to give
Those sudden Goodbyes that never occurred
Suddenly you close the box and tell your heart
Not tell but you make a promise not to come near it
Because now you know what you didn’t knew then
That those moments were the best of times and are gone
Taught you so many thing you didn’t knew back then
And you again make a promise this time
Never again

Ramblings Unattended

Ramblings Unattended

Sometimes I wonder what you think the moment when you look at the stars
Sometimes I smile just thinking your laugh coming from a thought of an old memory
Sometimes I look at the rainbow and wish you watching it on the other side
Sometimes I imagine the wind I feel on my face passing by your house
Sometimes I feel if it is all just a dream what I feel sometimes
Sometimes I am afraid because I feel nothing
What if you don’t look at the stars because you don’t go out at night?
What if the memories don’t bring a smile and you never think of them
What if you don’t fill colors in your eyes because you don’t like the rain?
What if you keep your windows shut all day afraid of storms
What if these dreams are just illusions created by a wonderful trick?
But,
Sometimes I just sit under the stars at dusk after the rain feeling the wind on my face
And I see the rainbow and say
What if you laughed?

Birds

Birds

When ships of doubt anchor on the shore of your thoughts
The inside feels like rooms of an abandoned castle
The wheel of emotions is stuck and all moments feel same
You can’t seem to figure if you are happy or sad
Just look out your window and see the birds
Flying, singing, searching for that gain of the day
All lost in their world yet happy because they know
That at the end of the day when they fly back to the nest
They will not go empty handed whether its summer or storms
And every day they fly because they know
That whatever they seek they shall find 1
Fueled with this faith in there heart they fly each day
Now you filled with clouds of innumerable thoughts in mind
Burn those ships
Don’t let go the simpler things in life that you miss
Waiting for things unknown ignoring those little joys and smiles
Don’t wait them up just fly away and bloom
Because remember you are much more than those birds 2
