Prisoners

PrisonersAll our lives we are in pursuit of something, as we grow older, and our feelings mature we see it all around us, depicted in movies, books, gossips. We observe real life examples and marvel at them. We promise ourselves that when we will grow older we will also have it and will bask blissfully in its soothing warmth. We draw sketches in our thoughts of how we will live with it and in our minds create a framework of how we will spend our life in it.

As we grow older we watch others having the time of their lives in it and we try to get it for ourselves, but soon we realize that it’s not an easy thing to get hold of, we hold back due to our fears but finally we muster up courage and in haste we misinterpret other things for it and then realize when the reality is handed to us that we were wrong, we begin saying that we are better off without it. A Good Man

A Good Man

A Good man is curious about all things around
That shape and impact his country his town
Always raising his voice for those in need
He helps putting smiles on faces that frown

A Good man will listen and will give ear
In doing so, he will make his point clear
A Good man will respect all other views
For truth, he will stand firm without fear

A Good man is like an open Book
He cares
He respects
He considers
He guides
A Good man holds no grudges inside
Faces the truth, he never hides

A Good man learns from mistakes he makes
From each defeat positive things, he takes
He gets back up every time he falls
A Good man builds bridges; he breaks walls

A Good man is never hard to find
He shuns injustice never turns his eye blind
A Good man is inside all of us, yes it’s true
Never let that Good man die in you

Rest In Peace

Rest In Peace

“People do not die for us immediately, but remain bathed in a sort of aura of life which bears no relation to true immortality but through which they continue to occupy our thoughts in the same way as when they were alive. It is as though they were traveling abroad.”

― Marcel Proust

Bob Marley on Love

Bob MarleyThis time instead of sharing something that I wrote I would like to share a piece on Love from the great Bob Marley, it’s a pity that our generation remembers Bob just as a famous weed smoker what they don’t know is that he wrote so many songs on love and peace and said such good things about love and being human, So here is something that I would like to share with you all..

“Only once in your life, I truly believe, you find someone who can completely turn your world around. You tell them things that you’ve never shared with another soul and they absorb everything you say and actually want to hear more. You share hopes for the future, dreams that will never come true, goals that were never achieved and the many disappointments life has thrown at you. When something wonderful happens, you can’t wait to tell them about it, knowing they will share in your excitement. They are not embarrassed to cry with you when you are hurting or laugh with you when you make a fool of yourself. (more…)

Shoes

Shoes

Hey there, look the sun is out and the day is clear
You are all cozy with your coffee cup in hand
So why do you want to join me on my walk?
The road is long and the path has dust
It may Rain and the weather is a mystery
But its ok, you can come
I see you are not wearing any shoes
Here have mine I am used to walk bare feet
Be careful they look fine
But on soles they have a hole or two
So be cautious as you walk
The path is not smooth has its thorns and stones
Oh! Look your feet are bleeding now
The shoes didn’t save you from the stones in the way
I am sorry the shoes were not any help at all
Through summers, winter’s, storms they served me well
So now they are just worn out a little
But I am content with them
Here let me carry you on my back
Allow me to put back my shoes first
Yes they will not save my soles from bleeding too
But at least they will cover my feet.

Seed

seed

Once upon a time
There was a man
He found that his heart’s land was barren
Cold winds blew over it in winter
Autumn never seemed to let go
So one day he got a single seed called Hope
And planted it in that land
Heavy rains of Doubt poured down
He was afraid that the ground will move
And he will lose the seed
So he built a boundary of Conviction around it
When strong winds of Worries blew
He sheltered it with the shade of Determination
If Hale of Confusion fell in
He guarded it with the roof of Discipline
The seed began to grow in to a little plant
Then swarms of Fear came
So he sprayed it with the spray of Faith
And then one day the plant finally became a tree
And it gave the fruit called Happiness
And in that fruit there were those same seeds of Hope
Now the man had so many seeds
More than he needed
So he decided to give them to other people
The End

Because

There is still some good in this world

There is still some good in this world
A hand that feeds the hungry
A shoulder to lean and cry
There is light at the end of the tunnel
And hope in every Goodbye
Flowers bloom after every winter
All nights see the sun
There is good in you and me
For what we are but one
Little things that bring the smiles
Or big ones like Hanukkah or Eid
All wait for Holi and Christmas
They bring true joy indeed
All misery tears and sadness
That hatred twisted and curled
Can never break our spirits because
There is still some good in this world
