Fret not my friend…

Fret not my friend

Fret not my friend…

If you loved unconditionally
Got acknowledged with greed
Your part you played well

For love is a two edged sword
Delight on one pain on other
Depends which side scars you

Fret not my friend…

If you toil all your days
Still find that your labor’s lost
Diligence always gets reward

For a man’s days are like dust
He sows reaps intent’s prisoner
Like father and his father before

Fret not my friend…

If your days feel no sunshine
Dark of night engulfs your moon
Emotions end heart’s alliance

As each soul longs for solace
Enslaved by pursuit of purpose
Truth never ends in vain

Fret not my friend…

If you don’t get answers
Of all the questions you seek
Each day every night

For it doesn’t matter what
Answers you achieve unless
You ask the right questions

Fret not my friend…..

If you turned the other cheek
Got mocked by this world
As a man is known by his virtue

Just starve that ego inside
And feed that soul of yours
You will find the meaning of life

  1. As soon as I was navigated to this poem. The silhouette of the man overlooking his window locked my eyes. Before I could read the poem, the image itself spoke volumes. Where do you get such classic ones?
Poetry done on life is something I cherish the most and so I did this one too. Really deep thoughts these are. So so motivating. These lines- love is two edged sword, dark of night engulfing your moon, truth never ends in vain have so moved me.
Sure it’s not easy to find the meaning of life but the messages in your poem has made a lot of things clearer. Every line is driving me towards positivity.
I call this **incredible** work 🙂

      1. Thanx Zee 🙂 i will say the same for you you write excellent prose and i suck in writing prose, mainly because im in such a rush and it needs a calm mind 🙂 😀 😛 ……

the secret is the moment ( not being humble 😛 ) i will begin to think that im a brilliant writer that will be the moment that i will kill my creativity, each time i write i raise the bar high from last time so whatever i write should be better from my last work….. and that thing keeps me going 🙂

      1. Hehe…You too deserve this…To be very frank there are many people in this world who can’t see others getting successful or getting happy…Everyone wants to be ahead of others & throw them down just like a rat race not understanding that they are their own competition…But there will be very few people who will genuinely wish good for others & motivate them…

And i am really glad to get such great friends over here…You got this back because when you do good to others it certainly comes back to you in twicei…:)Once again akhiz hanks for everything…!!!

  2. Woow… Akhiz, how beautifully you depicts the feelings of a man, literally it’s just owe-sum. I was reading line by line the beautifully you sought the words like: (“pursuit- purpose” ,”soul longs for solace”). And give them the worth of emotions. I am so pleased to see your blog and also proud of “Pakistan” that in our country talent do exist :). Keep it up
    I love these lines:

If your days feel no sunshine
Dark of night engulfs your moon
    Emotions end heart’s alliance

As each soul longs for solace
    Enslaved by pursuit of purpose
    Truth never ends in vain

    Fret not my friend…

looking forward to read some more this sought of things. Will be waiting
